GROWING TREND AMONG PERTH HOMEBUYERS

Buyers' agents have now become a permanent fixture in the Australian real estate market - and it seems investors aren't the only ones taking up the service.

Property Wizards Buyers Agency says there's a rapidly growing trend for homebuyers to enlist the help of experts, with almost one in four of their clients now seeking their assistance to search for the family home.

"A few years ago, homebuyers only made up about two percent of our client base, but in recent years that has grown dramatically, and they now make up about a quarter of all clients we work with," buyers' agent Trevor Dunkley said.

"It's not surprising more people are hiring buying representatives; due to the rapid changes we've seen in the Perth property market in the past few years, many homebuyers also want an expert on their side.

"We've seen the property market become much more sophisticated, so now, just as most people wouldn't dream of trying to fix their modern, hi-tech cars these days, they also wouldn't try to buy their home without expert help."
